Dear Whittier Homeowners,
We want to share an important update from the Whittier Board of Directors regarding a recent change that will impact our community management.
Vanguard Management Associates to Conclude Partnership
On July 15, Vanguard Management Associates, Inc., our long-time partner in managing the Whittier Homeowners Association (HOA), informed us of their decision to terminate their agreement with our association, effective September 30, 2024. This decision, which came after a 25-year partnership, was made due to a disconnect between Vanguard and the Board of Directors.
While we are disappointed by this news, we respect Vanguard’s choice and wish to acknowledge their years of dedicated service to our community. Vanguard has played a key role in managing and supporting our neighborhood, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to their team. In particular, we want to recognize the efforts of Vanguard Vice President Jeff Luther and Nancy Keen, who has been our Whittier community manager for more than 20 years.
Next Steps: Searching for a New Management Partner
In light of this development, all active members of the Board are fully engaged in the process of finding a new community management partner. We have already received responses from five companies to our Request for Proposal (RFP), and we are currently reviewing their proposals. Our next step is to conduct interviews with the finalist firms to ensure we select a partner that aligns with the needs and values of our community.
We understand the importance of this transition and are committed to making a careful and informed decision. Our goal is to have a new management partner in place as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition and continued support for our community.
What’s Next?
We will keep you informed as we move forward in this process. Our aim is to announce the new community management firm in the coming weeks, once an agreement has been finalized.
We appreciate your understanding and support during this time of change, and we are confident that the new partnership will continue to uphold the standards and values that make Whittier a wonderful place to live.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
Sincerely,
The Whittier Board of Directors
